Gynostemma Pentaphyllum

Also known as Sweet Tea Vine or Jiaogulan, this vigorous climber originates from the forests of China where it is used as a medicinal herb. In the UK it makes a fantastic vigorous ground cover plant or quick climber for a shady corner, where it produces lots of palmate, glossy green leaves. Tiny pale yellow flowers may also appear in summer. Gynostemma pentaphyllum is frost tender so is best grown in patio containers or lifted from borders and brought under cover over winter. Height and Spread: Up to 4m (13′).
